“Beach, party and the night life.” 3 things that Boracay could offer… on a daily basis.
I got to spend 5 days in Boracay (April 24-28) I was suppose to go back on the 30th, but, i guess, for me, Boracay isn’t a place that you could stay days in.
ZestAir is infamous for delayed flights or cancelled flights, but surprisingly, our flight was 20 minutes early and our travel time was only 20 minutes! How great was that?!
The land travel from Kalibo to Caticlan took us about an hour and a half. With occasional burning houses in between. And the boat ride to Boracay took us about 5-10 minutes. We arrived at Boracay at exactly 10:30 in the evening.
After dropping off and checking in at our room in Fairways & Bluewater, we went straight to Station 2, D’mall to have our much awaited dinner. Unfortunately, Andok’s was the only one open at that time. Plus your typical Boracay night life.
We didn’t stay that long in Epic, just had a few drinks and went back to the hotel after. I guess everyone was tired and wanted to get some rest from the long trip we had. But as usual, my body isn’t used to sleeping in different places. So, i was wide awake til 7 in the morning. And i guess i shouldn’t say that i woke up to this view. But i should say that i saw this view come to life. Not too shabby i might say.
We spent half of our stay at the beach and infinity pool of Fairways. We owned the beach. No one was there, only us. Its like a virgin beach. Well, it is.
We only went to the Stations in the evening to have dinner and to have a few drinks with friends. But we also got to spend some of the days at the beach of Station 2. Which i wouldn’t recommend. Because of the moss/algae swimming around with you.
I had no choice but to eat grilled food. All day and all night long. Although, i loved the food served at Smoke! That super extra chili chicken made up for all the food i ate at Boracay! Especially the food in I love BBQ. Great mural, bad food.
The perfect sunset after the perfect beach activity… aka. Fly Fish. I guess this is the only activity that i would recommend to you guys. Its both thrilling and painful… For girls. If you had your chance to try this ride already, then you know what i’m talking about. If you haven’t… Good luck.
On the morning of the 28th, i rushed to get my ticket rebooked and gladly made it in time for my flight back to Manila.
I guess, Boracay isn’t for everyone. But i’m glad i got to experience the so called “Night life” everyone’s buzzing about.
An iPhone is the handiest thing you can bring to the beach. Plus, if you have instagram, you don’t need to edit photos in your computers. Editing is done after capture. That’s why i didn’t bring a camera. Forgive me for being too hipster.
